We are seeking an O&M Technician for our Quail run Plant, located in Odessa, Texas.
The O&M Technician operates, performs regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, tests, and makes rounds taking regular readings on all power plant equipment and systems to maximize asset value. Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations and plant procedures. Valuable non-core level skills may be in the area of administrative, mechanical, instrumentation and control, and/or electrical maintenance skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate in operator training and continuing training.
- Manage preventive maintenance tasks and records preventive maintenance activities.
- Train and develop other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities. Practice situational leadership, safety, and environmental stewardship.
- Lead equipment or system problem identification and recommend solutions.
- Develop operating procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
- Ensure that appropriate safety procedures are followed.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications

-Control room operating experience prefered
- Successful completion of the EEI Tech test.
- Strong aptitude in math, mechanical/electrical ability and production control.
- Hands on experience with all aspects of power plant operations and maintenance including mechanical maintenance, instrument and electrical systems, and a working knowledge of power cycles is a plus.
- Ability to work in a high performance work system and work rotating 12 hour shifts and overtime with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication and team skills and a working knowledge of Excel and PC based applications.
- High School graduate.
- The ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
