Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Provide technical direction and guidance to operations and maintenance staff on SCADA / Real-Time plant control network. Acts as the liaison for the Wind & Solar business unit between the broader Information Technology organization, including leading or participating in cross-discipline project teams. Provide expertise in systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and application development and support within the computing environment. Develop and maintain written standards and operating procedures for the design, integration, and support of various SCADA components and technologies within the Exelon framework. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide technical SCADA support to Wind operations and maintenance, with emphasis on Real-Time network (incl. hardware, application software, data integration). Develop and support comprehensive monitoring and notification solutions for SCADA components for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolve issues with data flow and devices. Operations center support outside regular business hours and remote coverage. Support Wind & Solar operations with centralized monitoring and control capabilities of remote generating sites, including network connectivity (WAN/LAN), hardware, software and applications, and other enabling system. Direct interface with centralized Information Technology support and resources at various locations. Manage and foster relationships to advance intra-departmental work stream efficiencies within Network Engineering (I&O), Applications Support, Commercial Integration. Collaborate with other departmental technical staff to develop and deliver effective technology solutions. Work with 3rd party vendors and solution providers to implement technologies consistent with the Exelon standards. Support initiatives of the Wind & Solar O&M Roadmap in establishing standard processes and toolkits. Perform all other duties as assigned. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: 1 Associates Degree with 8+ years professional experience and 3+ years exempt-level experience OR 2 HS Diploma with 10+ years professional experience and 5 years exempt-level experience 3 Knowledge of industry related programs, SCADA systems and experience with data integration 4 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal 5 Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products 6 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
