Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Successful candidate responsibilities include oversight and consistent implementation of financial management policies and procedures. Manages the personnel and activities of finance, including financial and business planning, operational reporting, forecasting, O&M budgeting, financial and cost analysis, investment economics, financial performance management reporting. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the annual strategic planning process and periodic reforecasting process related to Retail Energy Gross Margin for all businesses and Opex for sales organizations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting of sales and operational results and the related variance analysis.
- Support the Sales organizations in sales quota setting, tracking and commission payment.
- Provide individual sales deal analysis to support Commitments Committee.
- Perform or lead ad-hoc analysis to fulfill requests from Sales, Corporate or other organizations within the business
- Advise, coach and support staff in professional growth and career development; Build a strong and balanced team
- Provide financial insights and process feedback to the Director of Retail Energy FP&A and the sales organization VP's and SVP's. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Strong commitment and motivation
- 4-year degree in finance, accounting, engineering, economics, or a related field of study
- 10 years experience of financial experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience of financial statement analysis, project evaluation and modeling
- Proven capability in leading / managing processes across multiple functional teams
- Proven ability to clearly communicate and present financial results
- Fast learner, ability to multi-task and lead teams to meet tight timelines under ambiguityPreferred:
- General understanding of Retail Energy businesses
- Managerial experience
- CPA, MBA, or CFA POSITION SCOPE:
- Reports to Director, Retail Energy FP&A
- Lead, delegate responsibilities to and supervise the staff in accomplishing day-to-day tasks
- Liaison with Sales, Operations and other corporate staff functions*LI-PPI
